What Mythological Creature You Are According To Your Zodiac Sign

The Greek myths were written to come up with explanations for why life and our existence are the way they are. The creatures of all mythology across the world have been written in such a way as to represent the traits, both good and bad, of humanity. Our fear and pride, our gluttony and shame, all of it is reflected in different mythological creatures. Interestingly, so much of the zodiac is grounded in mythology, so it’s only logical that there be a mythological creature for each zodiac sign. Here’s what mythological creature you are according to your zodiac.

What do think of your creature?

Virgo. You Virgo, are Anubis, the Egyptian gatekeeper of the afterlife. You are a watcher of humanity, an analytical. It only makes sense that you are Anubis as the closest Greek equivalent to Anubis was Mercury or Hermes, which is actually the ruler of your sign.

Pisces. You may be gentle, sensitive and creative, but you’re also totally in your own world, obsessed with your greatest passions: art and sex. You are Pan, the goat-legged, man who spends his whole day surrounded by nymphomaniacs. Pretty much all you concentrate on is your art or sex. Even though you wouldn’t hurt a fly, your tunnel vision makes you seem scary to others sometimes.

Capricorn. You are the Chimera. As you know, depending on where you are at mentally, you can be just about anything. Your name means “a little bit of everything” as you have the head of a lion, a snake and a goat, and you fly. Your personality can change in an instant which also makes you wise, multi-dimensional and extremely empathic.

Cancer. You’re the beautiful and majestic Pegasus. Your father is the all-powerful and stoic Jupiter. Your mother is the crazy and estranged Medusa. You’re left almost unaware of how magnificent and one-of-a-kind you are. instead, you serve to just lift up and support whoever is lucky enough to have you in their life.

Sagittarius. You’re a Centaur Sagittarius, but of course, you already know that. You’re equal parts wise and driven. Equal parts analytical and savage. You’re full of lust, lust for life, lust for love, lust for experience, but you also crave closeness to other people. You see the beauty in everyone and want only to fill the world with more of that beauty.

Gemini. You are Cerberus, the three-headed hound with a mane of snakes and serpents tail who guards the entrance to Hades. You are loyal and fierce. You may even love interesting people, and think you want to be close to them but really, you are your own best friend. You may want people. You may even have one person you really love (hint: the devil) but in the end, you are your own best company.

Scorpio. You, Scorpio are a Golem. You could be born poor and without access to information, and you would become wealthy and brilliant. You crave truth, friendship and love but you cannot stand hypocrites or injustice. The golem was intended to be a servant. They were made out of stone and meant to serve but they saw the truth and rose up against those who intended to enslave them. You cannot be held down Scorpio. Anyone who tries will face your Golem-like wrath.

Taurus. You are a gargoyle. As the most loyal sign on the zodiac, you are the protector of all things holy. Your friendship may be hard won as those who hunted the gargoyle for protection had to fight, but once you become a friend, you’re that friend for life. And you’ll do whatever it takes to take care of your own.

Libra. You are Medusa all the way. Some people think Medusa is a mean, scary old woman, but really the opposite is true. She was really just a kind, beautiful, trusting girl who went against her celibacy vow and fell in love. Your tendency to avoid confrontation and your romantic tendencies get you in trouble, and if you wallow long enough in self pity, you turn into the later-years Medusa, the one that has snakes for hair and turns people into snow.

Aries. You are the valkyrie. In ancient Norse mythology you are the warrior of all warriors. You delved into the thick off battle to bring armor and weapons to the warriors. Those who died were brought by you up to Valhalla. You are the hero of your own story, the hero of every story and you will fight to the end no matter what it costs you.

Leo. Come on Leo, you already know what you are! You’re a freaking dragon! Of course you’re a dragon. What else could you possibly be? You’re powerful, majestic, beautiful but also a terrifying beast who will burn down an entire city if your needs aren’t being met. You fly through life and though all your interactions and most people count themselves lucky even to catch a glimpse.

Aqaurius. You’re a smart one Aquarius, in fact, you’re so smart you could almost be called a seer of things to come, things like death! You are a Banshee from Irish folklore, you are the sign of the dark things to come. You can appear beautiful just like a banshee, but if anyone tries to pry into your emotional world, they’d better prepare for you wrath.
