If some cuteness overload is needed – keep reading!
Baby foxes called ‘kits’ frolicking around cannot help, but make the gloomiest day shine. Many people think of the word ‘sly’ when a fox is mentioned, or a creature that is up to no good trying to sneak some food away from another animal,or just be a bully.
Wild animals of course have this nature, it is after-all fittest of the fittest that survive out there.
Springtime brings new growth and is a happy time for most as plants grow, flowers bloom, eggs hatch and many new-born animals abound. So no matter what happens in the world right now, Spring will always bring some joy!
In Illinois, a grandmother had a joyful Spring last year, when some baby foxes happened to stroll onto her veranda. The foxes were Red foxes and are quite prolific in Illinois. so not such an usual occurrence and were known to hang around and put on a show for her to watch through her glass sliding doors. These adorable pictures show them poking their noses up against the glass and playing about on the veranda under the watchful eye of the mommy fox! Sheer delight and entertainment.
Abundance of cute delight
Photographs shared on Reddit by Vechrotex (user name of the granddaughter of the house owner the foxes decided to visit) Luckily her grandmother captured some awesome pictures of these cuties when they came to visit that of course promptly went viral (Cute does that!)
Theses little foxes are reckoned to be around 3 or 4 weeks old at the time the pictures were taken judging from their eyes being wide open. Foxes need their mother’s milk for the first 4 weeks of life and then will go straight onto solid food, meaning they need to learn to hunt at a very young age.
Baby Red foxes also are born blind and usually open their eyes at about 14 days of age.
Vechrotex tol Bored Panda;
“Here in Illinois we get red foxes in forested areas, we see them a lot and it’s not that big of a deal. One day my grandma saw a baby red fox and took a picture of it. She shared the picture with me and I thought it was just so cute, I decided to post it. I’m glad I was able to make so many people happy! The mom comes by a lot more than the babies. She is always close when her babies are on the porch.”
But, they do grow up quickly of course so this is short-lived
This entertaining story and these delightful pictures not only gave the Grandmother who took them sheer pleasure, but to all that have seen them. Nobody can deny the cuteness and also the attraction of perhaps wanting to live somewhere where this could happen at your home too.
In closing there was another story about foxes and that appeared on Reddit
“One of our neighbors had a small pet door in their back door. A fox cub let itself in, ate all the cat’s food, and then fell asleep in the space between the refrigerator and the wall. The mama fox tried to get in to retrieve her cub but could not fit in the pet door or was afraid to attempt it. So the neighbor’s closed all the interior doors to the kitchen and left the backdoor open so mama and cub could be reunited.”
