Crocs are one of the fashion world’s true mysteries. Who the hell wears them? Why are they apparently so comfy when they look so hard and squeaky? What’s going on? Who am I?
Well, the plot has now thickened even more, thanks to the introduction of GOTH CROCS.

That’s right: Crocs, but with a unique gothic twist.
Said ‘Goth Crocs’ have been spotted on Etsy, where they’re being sold for £190.60 ($248.62), plus delivery, by US store Heavy Cream.
You can even purchase an optional add-on in the form of a long chain that can attach to your trousers.

The product description on the Etsy listing reads: “Punk spike crocs to make your feet into the final form rare Pokémon they were meant to be. (PATENT PENDING)
“Made by @garbage_b0y (instagram) and sold by HEAVY CREAM.
“The spikes are nickel plated and the chain is high sheen stainless steel.
“Unisex, if you’re unsure about size add it as a note to seller.
“Add-on: chain that runs from hinge to belt loop on pant leg as shown in pictures. (This is not the chain on the side of the shoe.)”
Someone shared photos of the showstopping shoes on Twitter, writing: “The only thing that’s upset me more than the phenomenon that is ‘goth crocs’ is the fact that no one has fucking called it ‘punk-croc’ yet.”
Mind you, not everyone has been a hater.
One person, commenting on photos of the Crocs on Garbage Boy’s Instagram feed, simply write: “I need.”
A second said: “These are dope as fuck lol.”
A third wrote: “These are fucking cute.”
Another potential buyer asked: “Are the spikes safe for when walking about? Would I injure myself or others lol?”

Thankfully, Garbage Boy replied to say he hadn’t ‘gored’ anyone yet, which is good news.
If you prefer your Crocs a little more colourful, it’s okay – you can go for the ones, which are covered in astro-turf, instead.
Come on, guys… Just think outside the Crocs.
