Some zodiac signs just aren’t meant to get married. There’s something in their personality, character, or the alignment of their stars that makes it an improbability. Often, the trademark traits associated with a particular sign are the very reasons settling down simply won’t work. 1. Taurus is too stubborn for marriage
Anyone who’s ever been in love with a Taurus, and self-aware Taureans themselves, know this is true. Taurus is unlikely to marry because of a character flaw, not out of some deep-seated argument against matrimony. Taurus is the bull, remember that. Bulls are notoriously hard-headed. Due to the Taurean inability to compromise, marriage is basically a no-starter right out of the gate. Add to that the Taurus proclivity for being possessive, and marriage becomes not just an impossibility, but a bad idea altogether. Of course, that’s not to say that every Taurus has to forget about coupling up officially. A little self-awareness goes a long way—as does a willingness to compromise, considering that’s one of the cornerstones of happy, healthy marriage.
2. Aquarius has an independent streak
Merging your life with someone else’s is a discombobulating experience at the best of times. It’s more difficult for Aquarians because they’re dealing with an independence streak a mile wide. It’s a pleasure of an Aquarius to take the road less traveled—the better to retain the air of mystery and uniqueness on which this sign prides itself. Marriage is the done thing. It’s traditional. That alone makes it verboten. Add to that the fact that Aquarius is typically wary of expressing or sharing anything emotional, and it all becomes a little clearer.
3. Gemini is fickle and pessimistic
Geminis are both sides of the coin anyway, so it’s no surprise that many of them are “I do/I don’t” on the subject of marriage, as well. On the one hand, a Gemini worries that a potential spouse will change after things are legal. On the other hand, that kind of commitment seems like a fun adventure. Since this sign is prone to changing its mind, the marriage merry-go-round is likely to continue spinning. The light and dark, glass-half-empty/half-full mentality of most Geminis will convince them that commitment is the only way to go and then remind that more than half of all marriages end in divorce.
4. Sagittarius is too free
One of the key traits of a Sagittarius is how much s/he values freedom. People born under this sign aren’t eager to lose themselves in another person, something that tends to happen with married couples regardless of what they want. Even if they strive to maintain separate identities, everyone outside of the marriage tends to group couples together as one entity. That’s a nightmare for a Sagittarius. For some of them, even serious relationships are scary propositions. It’s worth mentioning that this sign avoids clingy, whiny, needy individuals like the plague. Most Sagittarians want to find someone to settle down with eventually. It’s just not a priority right at this moment—or the next one, probably. The old-soul Sagittarius is the one exception to the rule.
5. Leo always wants something better
Leos are royalty. They are arrogant, confident, and deserving of only the best. They’re also stubborn, they hate compromising, and they need to be the center of attention all the time. It might be considered a public service to keep them out of the marriage pool—and your humble author speaks as a Leo. Leos are apt to have one hand tangled up with yours and the other thumbing through Grindr or Tinder because they’re always on the lookout for a better relationship than the one they have. It’s not uncommon for a Leo to wind up all alone because of this, which is a shame because the sign has an overabundance of love to give. That being said, it takes a spouse of superstar caliber to tie down a Leo.’
6. Libra’s too fancy-free
Much like Gemini, Libra is a fickle sign. It’s hard for Libras to make up their minds. Given that marriage is one of the most life-changing decisions you can make, it’s a bit too much for this indecisive sign. Even though this is also one of the most romantic signs of the Zodiac, that doesn’t have anything to do with its ability to keep up a relationship. Marriage isn’t always a priority because Libras aren’t eager to settle down. Offer this sign autonomy and freedom to make it at all interested in taking things further.
